Scottish Glass Society Prizewinner

On Choosing Day, an hour before the Incorporation of Wrights AGM, Deacon Judy Tayler-Smith and Deacon Elect Gillian Christiansen were privileged to judge the Scottish Glass Society's (SGS) exhibition 'Art in an A-Frame', as part of the celebrations for the the 850th Anniversary of the City of Glasgow. The Wrights have had a long association with the SGC and had given £400 to sponsor the exhibition, as well as the £100 prize money for the winner. The talented winner chosen by Deacon Judy and Deacon Elect Gill was Kirsty Bridges, with her beautiful panel entitled 'The Dear Green Place'. The panel depicted a soulful Robin, along with a mention of the many glorious green spaces in and around Glasgow, enclosed by an oak leaf border.

All the amazing entries, including Kirsty's winning work of art, will be on display at Gillian's Choosing Dinner on 3rd October.
